The Mawna Flyover is a crucial infrastructure project in Bangladesh, designed to alleviate traffic congestion and improve connectivity along the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway. Inaugurated on April 5, 2015, the 450-meter flyover has transformed the Mawna intersection, once a notorious bottleneck, into a smooth and efficient traffic junction. Seven Rings Cement played a key role in the construction by providing high-quality materials that ensured the flyover’s durability and structural integrity.

Before the flyover’s construction, the Mawna intersection was a major headache for commuters, often plagued by severe traffic jams due to its complex layout and high traffic volume. These gridlocks caused long delays, economic losses, and increased the number of accidents.

To address this pressing issue, the government of Bangladesh launched the Mawna Flyover project as part of the Joydebpur-Mymensingh road development initiative. The project aimed to enhance road connectivity, promote regional development, and improve the overall transportation experience for commuters.

The construction of the flyover began in 2013 and three months ahead of schedule, was completed. The project was carried out by Abdul Monem Limited under the supervision of the 17 ECB of the Bangladesh Army. With a total cost of Tk 70 crore, the flyover has proven to be a cost-effective solution to the traffic congestion problem.

The Mawna Flyover includes a 450-meter approach road and significantly reduces travel times for commuters between Dhaka and Mymensingh. Additionally, the flyover has stimulated regional development by improving access to markets, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities in the surrounding areas. The quality materials supplied by Seven Rings Cement were integral to the project’s success, ensuring a durable and reliable infrastructure for the community.
