Our Story
More Than Cement: A Story of Innovation and Impact
Hong Kong-based multinational Shun Shing Group, the parent company of SEVEN RINGS CEMENT, was founded in 1988. Our journey in Bangladesh began in 1991 with the marketing of bagged cement under the brand name SEVEN RINGS CEMENT. Driven by strong market demand, we established our first production plant in Dhaka, followed by expansions to Khulna and Chattogram. Today, we have an annual installed production capacity of 8.4 million metric tons.
Further expanding our international presence, Shun Shing Group established Green Cement LLC Dubai, setting up a 1 million metric tons per annum VRM plant to produce Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS) and cement for the UAE and neighbouring countries.
Cemcoa, headquartered in Hong Kong, is the raw material sourcing and trading wing of Shun Shing Group, ensuring the best raw materials for SEVEN RINGS CEMENT and resulting in unparalleled quality.
SEVEN RINGS offers a diverse range of products, including SEVEN RINGS CEMENT (CEM II/B-M), SEVEN RINGS SPECIAL (CEM II/A-M), SEVEN RINGS GOLD (CEM I), and SEVEN RINGS CEMENT PPC (Portland Pozzolana Cement). SEVEN RINGS CEMENT PPC is manufactured in compliance with Indian Standards (IS) 1489 (Part 1): 2015, specifically for the export market.
Beyond cement, SEVEN RINGS CEMENT also operates Shun Shing Packaging Industries Ltd (SSPIL), which specializes in WPP bag manufacturing with a production capacity of 150 million pieces. Additionally, we manage power generation facilities to support our operations. Our robust transportation network includes 525 trucks and bulk carriers, along with 55 water vessels, ensuring efficient and reliable delivery. Since 2008, we’ve made our mark internationally by exporting to India.

Cement Production
ESTABLISHMENT OF THE FIRST CEMENT PRODUCTION UNIT NAMELY Seven Circle (Bangladesh) Limited (SCBL) WITH A CAPACITY OF 0.5 MILLION METRIC TONS PER ANNUM.
2002
NEW BAG PLANT
SSGIL established woven Polypropylene (WPP) cement Bag Plant with the capacity of 28 million pieces/year.
2007
POWER PLANT
TO ENSURE UNINTERRUPTED POWER SUPPLY FOR CONTINUOUS PRODUCTION, THE GROUP ESTABLISHED A 10.16 MW GAS-BASED POWER PLANT AND EXPANDED THE BAG PLANT’S CAPACITY TO 48 MILLION PIECES FROM 26 MILLION PIECES PER YEAR. IN THE SAME YEAR, THE CEMENT PRODUCTION CAPACITY OF SCBL WAS INCREASED TO 1.1 MILLION METRIC TONS FROM 0.6 MILLION METRIC TONS PER YEAR.

Expansion of Cement Factory
SCBL cement factory was expanded to 1.6 MILLION METRIC TONS FROM 1.1 MILLION METRIC TONS PER YEAR
2012
EXPANSION OF POWER PLANT
SCBL EXPANDED ITS POWER PLANT TO 15.26 MW FROM 10.16 MW TO MEET THE INCREASING DEMAND FOR POWER FOR EXPANDED CEMENT MANUFACTURING FACILITIES.
2014
ESTABLISHMENT OF KHULNA FACTORY
SSGIL ESTABLISHED THE SECOND MANUFACTURING PLANT OF SEVEN RINGS CEMENT IN KHULNA WITH A PRODUCTION CAPACITY OF 1.5 MILLION METRIC TONS IN THE NAME OF SHUN SHING CEMENT MILLS LTD.
2015
EXPANSION OF BAG PLANT
A second bag plant was installed with a capacity of 30 million bags per annum.
2018
EXPANSION OF BAG PLANT
A THIRD BAG PLANT WAS INSTALLED WITH A CAPACITY OF 54 MILLION BAGS PER ANNUM FOR PRODUCING 2-PLY AND 1-PLY AD*STAR CEMENT BAGS.
2020
EXPANSION OF BAG AND POWER PLANT
CAPACITY OF THE THIRD BAG PLANT WAS INCREASED WITH A CAPACITY OF 14 MILLION BAGS PER ANNUM FOR PP AGRO BAGS PRODUCTION AND INSTALLED A 40 MW CAPACITY 132KV NATIONAL GRID SUBSTATION AT THE GAZIPUR FACTORY.
2021
EXPANSION OF DHAKA PLANT AND ESTABLISHMENT OF CHATTOGRAM PLANT
The new Vertical Roller Mill (VRM) at Dhaka (3.5 million MT/annum) and Chattogram (1.5 million MT/annum) became operational, raising our total annual production capacity to 8.4 million MT/annum.
