The country’s leading cement brand, Seven Rings Cement, organized a special event at a five-star hotel in Dhaka, bringing together the nation’s top architects, engineers, vice-chancellors, pro-vice-chancellors, professors, and industry experts. Held under the theme “Sketch 2 Structure,” the event highlighted how creative concepts transform into sustainable and enduring structures.
The keynote session was graced by renowned structural engineering expert Prof. Dr. M. Shamim Z. Bosunia, along with eminent architects Ar. Nurur Rahman Khan and Ar. Tania Tanzeen Karim.
Distinguished guests who addressed the audience included Engr. Md. Reazul Islam (Chairman, RAJUK), Ar. Md. Asifur Rahman Bhuiyan (Chief Architect, Department of Architecture), and Ar. Dr. Abu Sayeed M. Ahmed (President, IAB & Dean, University of Asia Pacific).
The event was attended by professors and department heads from BUET, vice-chancellors, pro-vice-chancellors, professors, and department heads of Architecture and Civil Engineering from SUST, IUT, DUET, and AUST; the Director General and Additional Director Generals of Bangladesh Railway; former presidents and senior officials of the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) and the Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB); Head of the Civil Department of MIST; senior officials from PWD, RAJUK, CAAB, BSTI, Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BBA), DPHE, EED, the Department of Architecture, Metro Rail, Dhaka–Ashulia Elevated Expressway, Payra Bridge Project, Dhaka MRT Development, LGED, MES, and project directors, chief engineers, architects, and distinguished professionals from various organizations.
