Job Responsibilities
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all RTD vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure the roadworthiness, safety, and statutory compliance of all vehicles.
Supervise repair and maintenance activities to ensure quality workmanship and long-term durability. - Lead and monitor the daily activities of workshop technicians and support staff.
- Ensure the timely completion of servicing and repair works in accordance with the established maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with RTD Operations to ensure the availability of vehicles for timely dispatch.
- Prioritize maintenance tasks based on operational urgency and delivery requirements.
- Provide support in handling emergency breakdowns to minimize operational disruptions.
- Monitor maintenance costs and spare parts consumption to ensure cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain accurate service records and support audits, inspections, and reporting requirements.
Educational Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engineering from a recognized institute or university.
- Additional training or certification in automobile maintenance or transport management will be considered an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5–8 years of practical experience in vehicle maintenance and workshop management.
- Experience in handling heavy vehicles, trucks, or transport fleet operations will be preferred.

- Ability to lead and manage workshop staff effectively.
- Good understanding of transport safety regulations and compliance requirements.

- Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergency vehicle breakdown situations.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, email) will be an advantage.
