Breaking ground in 2019, the 3rd terminal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport marks a major leap for Bangladesh's aviation scene. This collaborative effort, backed by a $1.8 billion investment, promises a smoother travel experience and a global trade boost.
Opening in May 2024, the 3rd terminal will triple passenger handling to 24 million annually. Cargo capacity also sees a significant rise, from 200,000 to 500,000 tonnes, positioning the airport as a major cargo hub.
