SEVEN RINGS SPECIAL (CEM II/A-M)

SEVEN RINGS SPECIAL is a Portland Composite Cement (PCC). This type of cement is mainly designed and used to improve durability of concrete. It is manufactured by inter-grinding three major mineral components (MIC) – Pulverized Fuel Ash (PFA), Blast Furnace Slag and Limestone with common raw materials, Clinker and Gypsum.

This type of cement has been used in developed countries for the past few decades. The famous PETRONAS Twin tower in Malaysia and today’s The Burj Khalifa Tower (160 floors, 828m) in Dubai are few examples of structures built with composite cement.

Why Seven Rings Special?

  1. Higher long-term strength due to its pozzolanic reaction.
  2. Improved workability of the concrete and eases placing of compaction.
  3. Give better, smoother surface finish of structural members.
  4. Reduced water demand results in higher strength of concrete.
  5. Less possibility of bleeding and segregation due to its lower water requirement.
  6. Less heat of hydration results in lower thermal expansion and less possibility of cracking afterwards.
  7. Strong resistance to chemicals (sea water, acids, chloride, sulphate).
  8. Increase fineness reduces the permeability and results in denser and superior fair-faced concrete.
  9. Prevents corrosion of concrete & embedded steel.
  10. Reduces lime leaching.
  11. Potential to save chemical admixtures for Ready Mix Concrete (RMC).

Breaking ground in 2019, the 3rd terminal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport marks a major leap for Bangladesh's aviation scene. This collaborative effort, backed by a $1.8 billion investment, promises a smoother travel experience and a global trade boost.

Opening in May 2024, the 3rd terminal will triple passenger handling to 24 million annually. Cargo capacity also sees a significant rise, from 200,000 to 500,000 tonnes, positioning the airport as a major cargo hub.
