SEVEN RINGS CEMENT (CEM II/B-M)

SEVEN RINGS CEMENT is a Portland Composite Cement (PCC). This cement is manufactured by inter-grinding three major mineral components (MIC) – Pulverized Fuel Ash (PFA), Blast Furnace Slag and Limestone with base or basic raw materials – Clinker and Gypsum.

Why Seven Rings Cement?

  1. Finer than ordinary Portland cement
  2. Higher long-term strength due to its pozzolanic reaction
  3. Improved workability of the concrete and eases placing
  4. Reduced water demand contributes to higher strength of concrete
  5. Lower Risk of Bleeding and segregation due to its reduced water requirement
  6. Less heat of hydration results in lower thermal expansion and less possibility of cracking afterwards.
  7. High resistance to chemical attack (sea water, acids, chloride, sulphate)
  8. Lower permeability results in dense concrete
  9. Develops smooth concrete surface
  10. Reduces lime leaching
  11. Prohibits corrosion of steel within concrete

Breaking ground in 2019, the 3rd terminal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport marks a major leap for Bangladesh's aviation scene. This collaborative effort, backed by a $1.8 billion investment, promises a smoother travel experience and a global trade boost.

Opening in May 2024, the 3rd terminal will triple passenger handling to 24 million annually. Cargo capacity also sees a significant rise, from 200,000 to 500,000 tonnes, positioning the airport as a major cargo hub.
